Six police officials allegedly charged of involving in rape and murder case of Nirmala Panta released on bail

Dhangadhi, Nepal: Kanchanpur District Court has ordered to release six suspended police officials on bail on Thursday. 

The single bench of Judge Dr Rajendra Acharya ordered to release on bail of Rs 900,000 each to DSP Gyan Bahadur Sethi and Inspector Ekendra Khadka for alleging their involvement in torture. 

Likewise, the court has asked Rs 400,000 with Inspector Jagdish Bhatta, Rs 350,000 with Sub Inspector Hari Singh Dhami, Rs 300,000 with Sub Inspector Ram Singh Dhami and Rs 250, 000 with police constable Chandani Saud. 

They were allegedly charged of destroying evidence associated to the rape and murder of 13 year old Nirmala Panta of Bhimdutta municipality-2 of Kanchanpur district. 

Kanchanpur District Court has issued warrants against Bista and GC to arrest them within 21 days and present them before the court. Among the eight police officials, SP Bista and CIB DSP GC were fugitive.
