Standing Committee Meeting Of the Ruling Head NCP Underway at Prime Minister’s Official Resident, Baluwatar, Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nepal, September 11, 2020: The much anticipated Standing Committee meeting of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has begun at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu from Friday.

The meeting has been discussing on the agendas prepared by the party’s co-chairpersons duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal. It is said that today’s meeting is centered over the report presented by the General Secretary Bishnu Poudel led six-member task force.

The report was already submitted the party leadership with the recommendation that internal rift of the party should be managed by sharing the posts and positions of the party and the government among the rival factions of the party.

It is said that some dissident leaders raised question mark for convening the party’s standing committee meeting at the official resident of the Prime Minister.

Likewise, senior leader Madhav Kumar also raised the issue of one-man-one-post at the meeting stating that sharing of posts among the leaders would not settle the differences of the party.
