Kathmandu, Nepal, March 30, 2020: Three suspected patients of corona virus (COVID-19) have died in course of treatment in Kathmandu.
A 40-year old female patent of Naikap, Kathmandu, died during the course of treatment at Bir Hospital on Sunday while another 35 year old patient, who had returned from India about fourteen days ago, breathed his last on Monday afternoon.
It is said that both the patients were referred at the Hospital after respiratory related problems with high fever. However, the reason behind the death is yet to be confirmed though the infected persons were suspected for corona virus positive.
The Hospital has said samples of both the patients are sent to the Teku based National Public Health Laboratory for COVID-19 test.
Likewise, another 36-year-old resident of Khaniyabas Rural Municipality in Dhading district, who was admitted to the Lalitpur based Patan Hospital on Sunday died on Monday afternoon.
According to the Hospital, he was referred there by the District Hospital, Dhading after he started having high fever since few days ago.
It is also revealed that the person is known to have had a kidney related ailment. His test report for the corona virus infection is awaited, the hospital has said.
