Kathmandu, Nepal: Ncell, a Private giant telecom company of Nepal, has paid Rs 13.6 billion to the government as Capital Gain Tax (CGT).
According to the Inland Revenue Department the amount was paid to Large Taxpayers' Office on Sunday.
The paying of tax is taken meaningfully as it has come after the arrest of Director General (DG) of Inland Revenue Department (IRD) Chuda Mani Sharma.
The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had arrested DG Sharma on Friday afternoon from his office after multiple complaints were lodged against him.
One of the major complaints lodged against Sharma was related to the Ncell.
