Kathmandu, Nepal, May 8, 2021: coronavirus infection tally of the Nepal has reached to 385,890 after 8,287 new cases reported from across the country in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 53 deaths related to the coronavirus infections have been reported from across the country in the past 24 hours. With the additions, the mortalities tally related to the coronavirus infections has advanced to 3,632.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,287 new cases were confirmed while conducting 18,304 total tests in different labs across the country in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, 3,370 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovery from the virus in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 298,765.
There are currently 83,493 active cases of coronavirus across the country. Of them, only 398 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal while remaining patients are staying in home isolation.
Nepal has witnessed share rise of coronavirus infection and death as well since few weeks. As many hospitals are reeling under the dearth of oxygen and beds, heath situations of the country would deteriorate further in days to come.
