Kathmandu, Nepal, January 10, 2021: Nepal recorded 1,357 new coronavirus infection cases in last 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally ahs advanced to 833,946.
Meanwhile, 255 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 814,485. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7 percent.
Likewise, two more deaths related to the coronavirus infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death tally has advanced to 11,606. Nepal's Covid-19 fatality rate stands at 1.4 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 11,429 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 8,965 were PCR tests while 2,464 were antigen tests. Nepal government has conducted 4,937,589 PCR tests till the date.
There are currently 7,855 active cases of coronavirus infection across the country. Of the total infected cases, 113 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
