Kathmandu, Nepal December 27, 2021: Nepal records 251 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection cases from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has advanced to 827522. 

Meanwhile, 225 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 811005.

Likewise, one more death related to the coronavirus infection has been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, mortality tally related to the coronavirus infection has advanced to 11586.

There are currently 4931 active cases of coronavirus infection across the country. Of them only 97 individuals are staying in institutional quarantine facilities. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 10,886 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 

Of the total infected cases, Kathmandu district top the records in high number of COVID-19 positive cases. 

According to the MoHP, of the total 165 positive cases were found in Kathmandu valley, 132 were recorded in Kathmandu, 14 in Bhaktapur, and 19 in Lalitpur districts.
