Kathmandu, Nepal, July 18, 2022: Nepal recorded 457 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection ally of the country has advanced to 981,794. 

Meanwhile, 48 people, who had got infected in the past, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 968,064.

Similarly, one more death related to the coronavirus infection has recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide death tally related to the deadly virus has advanced to 11,954. 

A total of 457 new cases were confirmed positive while conducting 5,787,357 PCR and 1,254,495 antigen tests in the past 24 hours. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), there are currently 1,776 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 82 new infection cases were reported in Province 1, 10 in Madhes Province, 253 in Bagmati province, 20 in Gandaki province, 14 in Lumbini province, three in Karnali province and four in Sudurpaschim province.

Meanwhile, 1,133 active cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kathmandu valley alone. Of them, 1,013 cases are in Kathmandu district, 92 in Lalitpur district and 28 in Bhaktapur district.
