Kathmandu, Nepal, May 18, 2021: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 480,418 after 8064 new infection cases recorded from across the country in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 246 coronavirus infected patients succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours in Nepal. With the addition, nationwide death tally of the country has advanced to 5,657.
Of the total infected cases, the capital city Kathmandu alone recorded 1,988 infections cases while Lalitpur recorded 270 cases and Bhaktapur recorded 228 cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,889 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovery in the past 24 hours.
