Nepalese Share Market Reaches 26 Months High Today

Kathmandu, Nepal, February 23, 2020: The Nepali Share market has stand at a 26 month high on Sunday. In the sixth consecutive trading day on Sunday, the NEPSE Index gained massive 4.85% or 69.56 points and closed at 1504.14 points.

Likewise, the NEPSE broke the record for highest turnover of Rs.3.60 Arba through the trading of 8,769,522 units of shares with 30,456 transactions of 178 listed companies. Sensitive Index and Float Index have also reached 26 month high with 17.07 and 5.40 points respectively.

The investors of the Nepalese share market seemed to have persuaded with the news that incumbent finance minister Yub Raj Khatiwada would not continue in the post due the expire of his two year term as member of the upper house.

While looking after the trading pattern of the various listed companies NMB Bank Limited (NMB) posted the highest turnover of Rs.12.56 Crore with Rs.454 per share.
