Kathmandu, Nepal, September 10, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally has reached to 50,465 after 1,246 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
1,246 new cases recorded while conducting 11,144 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method in the past 24 hours. As of today, the government has conducted 810,485 PCR tests.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population ( MoHP) 1818 persons, who were earlier diagnosed with the disease have been discharged following recovery in the last 24 hours. With the addition, total COVID-19 recovery tally reached 35,700 in Nepal.
There are 5,806 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. Likewise, the number of active cases in Nepal currently is 14,448, the Ministry has stated during the regular press briefing on Thursday.
Nepal’s total coronavirus fatalities reached to 317 after five death reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry has said.
