Kathmandu, Nepal, 3o September, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus tally reached to 77,817 after 1,559 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the 1,559 new cases recorded across the country on Wednesday, 902 cases were from Kathmandu Valley alone.
This is the single day record high in Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu valley has been witnessing daily raises of coronavirus infection cases since few weeks.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,057 people who were contacted with coronavirus have been discharged after recoveries.
Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 498 after seven deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.
1,559 new cases of coronavirus were detected through 12,205 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests conducted at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours, Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry said during the virtual press briefing on Wednesday.
