Kathmandu, Nepal, November 5, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally has reached to 185,974 after 3,051 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Among the newly infected cases, 1,842 were males while were 1,209 females.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 3,051 new cases were detected while conducting 13,068 real time polymerase chain reaction tests in different labs across the country in the past 24 hours. 

So far, the country has conducted a total of 1,507,190 PCR tests since the corona virus infected started in Nepal.

Of the newly infected cases, 1,878 were recorded in Kathmandu valley alone. With the addition, Kathmandu valley’s total infection tally has reached to 82,946.

Likewise, 3,430 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after recovery. With the new addition, total recovery tally has reached to 148,408.

The MOHP has also stated that death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 1,052 after 18 fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
