Kathmandu, Nepal, October 5, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 89,263 after 2,440 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Among the newly recorded cases from across the country, 1531 have been recorded from within Kathmandu Valley alone. With the new addition, Kathmandu Valley’s COVID-19 infection tally reached 30,848.
Likewise, The Kathmandu valley also reports single day record high in terms of death due to the infection of COVID-19. 12 new cases of fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours in Kathmandu Valley alone out of 19 fatalities recorded from across the country. With the addition, total number of death toll due to the infection of COVID 19 reached to 554 in the country while 165 in Kathmandu alone.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) 1,133 people, who were infected earlier with the COVID-19 virus, have been discharged after recoveries in the last 24-hours. With the new addition, total recovery cases reached to 65,202 in Nepal.
