Kathmandu, Nepal March 21, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has closed at 2,634.65 points on Monday after gaining 18.07 points from yesterday’s closing. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the NEPSE index had lost by 14.67 points.
The NEPSE index that was opened at 2,620.13 points has made the intraday high points at 2,634.65 and intraday low points at 2,601.36. Though the market remained constant throughout the day, it had gained at the last hours, thanks to the lower in selling pressure.
Altogether 231 scrips were traded via 37,939 transactions during the four hours long trading hours. A total of 5,189,083 shares amounting to Rs. 2.592 Arba in the turnover amount were traded on Monday. It is little bit higher than yesterday’s trading amount.
Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) made the highest turnover of Rs. 20.94 crores and closed market price of Rs. 1,504 per share though the company lost the highest by 2.97 percent. Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) has gained the highest by 9.98 percent and closed at Rs. 571.70 per share. Meanwhile, the shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) were traded the most on Monday.
Of the total, thirteen sectors, only two sectors remained red while others remained green. Development Bank sector gained the highest by 2.95 percent while Others sector lost the highest by 1.9 percent.
