Kathmandu, Nepal, December 19, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed green after four days consecutive loss on Monday.
The NEPSE gained 0.21 percent or 3.83 points to close at 1,858.89 points from the last trading day's closing on Sunday. The NEPSE index had lost 27.54 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The index that was opened at 1,855.19 points made an intraday low at 1,849.19 points and made an intraday high at 1,865.18 points before closing at 1,858.89 points.
A total of 2,699,331 shares of 251 scrips were exchanged via 30,545 transactions to make Rs. 88.60 Crores as turnover amount. This is lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.157 Arba.
The shares of Prime Commercial Bank Ltd. (PCBL) were traded the most with the highest turnover of Rs. 6.93 crores with the market price of Rs. 213.40 per share.
Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (DLBS) gained the highest by 10 percent and hit a positive circuit for the day while the Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) lost the highest by 7.97 percent.
Out of the total 13 sector indices, only the four sector indices closed red while remaining other nine sector indices remained green. The "Microfinance" sector indices lost the highest by 0.32 percent while "Others" sector indices gained the highest by 1.95 percent.
