Kathmandu, Nepal, March 28, 2022: The declining trend of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the sole secondary share market of Nepal, continued even at the second consecutive trading day of the week on Monday.
The NEPSE index has declined by 29.98 points from yesterday's closing and closed at 2,542.28 points on Monday. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the index had declined by 41.43 points.
The index opened at 2,574.12 points had made intraday high points at 2,580.26 points while intraday low points at 2,538.22 before closing at 2,542.28 points.
A total of 4,958,914 shares of 231 scrips were traded via 42,712 transactions to make Rs. 2.545 Arba as turnover amount. Today’s turnover amount is about two Arba lower than the yesterday’s turnover amount. Yesterday's turnover amount was Rs. 4.989 Arba.
The entire thirteen sectors have remained red today. Trading sector lost the highest 2.46 percent. Selling pressures were seen in all sectors.
Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Ltd (JBLB) has made the highest turnover of Rs. 22.24 crores while the shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) were traded the most today.
Just two scrips technically gained 10 percent and hit the positive circuit breaker while the ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost the highest by 4.82 percent.
