Kathmandu, Nepal, october 31, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed to green gaining 16.39 points from last trading day's closing on Monday. With the gain of 0.88 percent, the NEPSE index has closed at 1,874.87 points.
The index opened at 1,860.39 points after the Tihar festival made intraday low points at 1,856.93 before closing at intraday high of 1,874.87.
A total of 2,574,975 shares amounting to only Rs. 69.73 Crores in the turnover amount were traded via 17,748 transactions. The transactions amount is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 51.68 Crores.
NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.17 crores with closing market price of Rs. 660 per share while the shares of NIC Asia Balanced Fund (NICBF) traded the most.
Likewise, Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) gained the highest by 10 percent and hit positive circuit for the day while Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) lost by 8.16 percent.
Of the total 13 sectors indices, only the Development Bank sector indices lost by 0.39 percent while Hotels And Tourism sector indices gained the highest by 1.65 percent.
