Kathmandu, Nepal, June 6, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has continued the declining trend even on Monday, the first trading day of the week. This is the 7th consecutive decline in the NEPSE index.
NEPSE index has closed at 2,065.78 points by declining 0.62 percent or 13.92 points. The NEPSE index had lost by 33.76 points on last Friday, last trading day of the week.
The index opened at 2,079.60 points made intraday high at 2,093.95 points while intraday low at 2,054.13 points before closing at 2,065.78 points. Selling pressure of share has led to decline continuously.
A total of 4,409,691 shares were exchanged via 25,908 transactions with turnover amount to Rs. 1.273 Arba, which is lower than the previous turnover amount. In the last trading day on Firday, the turnover amount was Rs. 1.307 Arba.
Asian Life Insurance Co. Limited (ALICL) made the highest turnover of Rs. 8.24 crores closing with market price Rs. 539 while the shares of NABIL BALANCED FUND-2 (NBF2) traded the most.
Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) gained highest by 10 percent positive circuit while the Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) lost the highest by 9.99 percent. The shares of HBL were opened from Monday after about 13 months long restrictions.
Of the total thirteen sector indices, six sectors indices closed green while remaining seven sectors remain red. ‘Microfinance’ sector indices gained the highest by 0.53 percent while Life Insurance sector indices lost the highest by 2.01 percent.
