Kathmandu, Nepal, February 27, 2023: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has come to close at 2,023.54 points after losing 3.65 points or 0.18 percent from the last trading day's closing in the second trading day of the week on Monday. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the NEPSE index had gained by 4.55 points.
The NEPSE index that was opened at 2,029.23 points on Monday made the intraday high at 2,043.99 points and intraday low at 1,990.27 points before ultimately closing at 2,023.54 points.
A total of 5,120,888 shares amounting to Rs. 1.893 Arba in turnover amount were traded through the 259 scrips traded hands and 37,338 transactions.
Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 6.68 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,290 per share while the Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited ( AHPC) traded the most.
Similalry, Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) gained the highest by 9.73 percent while the Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited (RHGCL) lost the highest by 6.43 percent.
Of the total 13 sectors indices, only five sector indices closed green while remaining eight sector indices closed red, Finance sector indices lost the highest by 1.65 percent while the hotel and Tourism sector indices gained the highest by 1.38 percent.
