Kathmandu, Nepal, October 17, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has lost by 0.14 percent in the second trading day of the week on Monday. 

With the decreasing of 2.61 points from last day’s closing, the NEPSE has closed at 1,858.33 points. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the NEPSE index had lost by 9.69 points.

The NEPSE index that was opened at 1,861.55 points made intraday high at 1,864.74 points while made intraday low points as 1,854.24 before closing at 1,858.33 points.
 
A total of 1,631,349 shares were exchanged amounting to only Rs. 51.58 Crores in the turnover amount via 13,609 transactions and 219 scrips traded hands. This is lower than the Sunday's turnover of Rs. 80.35 Crores.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 2.79 crores with market price of Rs. 794 per share while the shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) traded the most.

Similarly, Aviyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AVYAN) gained the highest by 9.99 percent and technically hit positive circuit for the day while the People's Power Limited (PPL) lost 9.97 percent.

Out of the total 13 sector indices, only six sectors indices closed green while remaining seven sector indices closed red, Hotels and Tourism gained the highest by 0.41 percent while the Finance sector indices lost the highest by 1.1 percent.
