Kathmandu, Nepal, September 12, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 0.17 percent or by 13.59 points and closed at 1,912.69 points on Monday, the second trading day of the week. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the NEPSE index had declined by 11.47 points.


The NEPSE index opened at 1,926.45 points made intraday high at 1,928.71 points and intraday low at 1,906.75 points before closing at 1,912.69 points.


A total of 2,613,540 shares were exchanged amounting to Rs. 83.16 Crores via 20,558 transactions. Monday’s turnover amount is slightly higher than the turnover amount of Sunday. Sunday’s turnover amount was Rs. 74.72 Crores only.
 
Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.07 crores and closed the market price at Rs. 755 per share. Similarly,  the shares of Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most on Monday.

United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Limited (UMRH) gained the highest by 4.17 percent while the 10.5 percent NEPAL INVESTMENT DEBENTURE 2082 (NIBD2082) lost the highest by 9.58 percent.

Out of the total 13 sectors indices, only one sector closed green while other sector indices closed red. The "Mutual fund" sector indices gained by 0.12 percent while "Others" sector indices lost the highest by 1.7 percent.
