Kathmandu, Nepal, December 5, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has declined by 24.46 points or 1.25 percent and closed at 1,938.76 points on Monday, the second trading day of the week. In the first trading day of the week on Sunday, the NEPSE index had gained by 2.16 points.


The NEPSE index opened at 1,964.79 points made intraday high at 1,965.77 points and intraday low points at 1,935.65 before ultimately closing at 1,938.76 points.

A total of 4,127,286 shares were exchanged amounting to Rs. 1.670 Arba in the turnover amount via 240 scrips traded hands and 26,475 transactions. Monday’s turnover amount is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.561 Arba.

The shares of the Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 30.83 crores. The market price of the RIDI closed at Rs. 497.9 per share.

Likewise, Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) gained the highest by 3.12 percent while the Ajod Insurance Limited (AIL) lost highest by 7.37 percent.

All the 13 sector indices closed red, "Manufacturing and Processing" sector indices lost the highest by 2.37 percent while the "Mutual Fund" sector indices lost the least by 0.22 percent.
