Kathmandu, Nepal, february 2, 2022: Three representative umbrella organizations of the private sectors have protested the corruption case filed recently by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against some cement industries in Nepal on the charge of mining going against the agreements.

Issuing a joint statement, chairman trio of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Nepalese Industries and Nepal Chamber of Commerce, namely as Shekhar Golchha, Bishnu Agrawal and Rajendra Malla respectively protested the corruption case claiming that such an act would discharge to increase investment in Nepal.  

The corruption case filed by the CIAA against the cement factories has discouraged the private sectors for the investment in Nepal, states the statement. Though the investors in the cement industry have made significant contributions in the overall development of the nation, such a act of filing corruption case has discouraged the private sector, reads the statement.
