Kathmandu, Nepal: A Sherpa climber, Ang Dawa Sherpa, 32, died of altitude-related sickness on Mt Makalu on Sunday night.

Sherpa had died at the Makalu base camp last night while returning from the summit point of Mt Makalu.  Mount Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world.

Though Sherpa had complained of altitude-related sickness at Camp II on Monday, he was not rescued citing adverse weather.

It is said that deceased Sherpa was a part of a four-member Chinese expedition team that was in a Trek at Mt Makalu since Sunday.
