Kathmandu, Nepal: The Shreeswasthani Bratkatha, month-long fasting, which is devoted to Goddess Shree Swasthani, concluded on Friday.
The Shreeswasthani Bratkatha began on the full moon day of Poush is ended in the Paush Suklapaksha (the full moon day) and end the month of Magh Suklapaksha by performing various rituals as per the Hindu religion.
Hindu, mainly the Hindu women worship Shreeswasthali goddess by reading and hearing Swasthani stories throughout the month.
At the end of the day on Friday hundreds of devotees have throng at the Shalinadi, Gaurighat and other holy banks of rivers across the country to mark the conclusion of the festival.
According to the Hindu methodology it is believed that unmarried women fast to get a good husband while married pray for the longevity of their husbands.
