Nepal Registers Victory Against PNG and HongKong In ICC League-2 and ICC U-19

Kathmandu, Nepal, February 27, 2023: Nepal has defeated Papua New Guinea by 4 wickets in ICC World Cup League -2 triangular one-day international series in Dubai on Monday. 

With this winning, Nepal has won five consecutive games in League-2 and become success to climb in sixth position in the seven-team points table with 28 points in 29 matches.

In the match held at Dubai International Cricket Ground in the UAE, Nepal secured the target of 204 runs posted by Papua New Guinea at the loss of 6 wickets in 45.2 overs.

Kushal Bhurtel, who is also the man-of-the-match, contributed 56 runs for Nepal while Ashif Sheikh made 44 runs chasing down the target given by PNG. 

In the match, Gulsan Jha took three wickets; Kushal Malla took two wickets while Sompal Kami, Karan KC and Pratish GC took one wicket each. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Papua New Guinea made 203 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Meanwhile, Nepal registered a convincing nine-wicket victory over Hong Kong to secure their third victory in a row at the Asian Regional Qualifier for the ICC U-19 Men's Cricket World Cup in the United Arab Emirates on Monday.
