Kathmandu, Nepal: Top leaders of the three major political parties- Nepali Congress, CPN UML and the CPN Maoist Center have agreed in principle to move ahead with consensus to seek solution of the current crisis of the country. 
 
In the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday, top leaders of the major three parties agreed to seek solution to the current political stalemate including on the issue of constitution amendment bill, holding of elections, implementation of impeachment motion registered in the parliament against suspended CIAA chief Lokman Singh Karki and many others.
 
In the two-and-half-hours-long meeting, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN Maoist Center’s chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and main opposition party CPN-UML’s Chairman KP Sharma Oli also discussed on many contentious issues of the country. 
 
The meeting between the held between the top leaders of the major three parties on the name of forging consensus on contentious issues of the constitution is taken importantly as it is convened at a time when the political parties are sharply divided over the constitution amendment bill registered in Parliament.
 
The government had registered the constitution amendment bill in the parliament on November 29 despite the strong objection from the opposition parties including the CPN UML.
