Kathmandu, Nepal, April 5, 2021: The three-day training program entitled ‘Training of Women Entrepreneurs on Expanding Business through E-commerce and Digital Marketing’ kicks off in Kathmandu on Monday.
The organizer of the event has said that more than 1500 women entrepreneurs will be trained in South Asia by dividing into two plenary sessions on ‘E-tourism marketing,’ and ‘Handicraft and Agriculture: Leveraging Digital Technology Opportunities.’
United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) has organized the event in partnership with South Asian Women Development Forum (SAWDF).
Minister of Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhakri inaugurated the event amid a function on Monday. During the inauguration ceremony, she also launched a manual titled Beginner’s manual on Digital Marketing and E-commerce.’
It is said that UNESCAP and SAWDF is a partnership project on ‘E-commerce Capacity Building for Women-led SMEs in South Asia’ launched with the aim to help in enhancing the capacity of women entrepreneurs.
