Kathmandu, Nepal:  Protesting to the government’s decision to hold the local level elections in two phases, the main opposition party CPN-UML has on Tuesday disrupted the House meeting.
 
As soon as the House meeting began, UML lawmaker Ganga Lal Tuladhar announced that his party would not let function the parliament alleging the government for acting against the will of the people to hold the local level elections on time.
 
During his address Tuladhar accused the government for trying to increase the number of local bodies against the provision of the constitution.
 
We have heard that the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has been dispatching a circulation to various districts to increase the number of local bodies arguing going against the jurisdiction of the Local Level Restructuring Commission (LLRC), Tuladhar said.
 
When Tuladhar announced that his party would not let to function the meeting of the parliament unless the government makes clear about the issue, UML lawmakers stood up from their seats stating that they would not allow the House run until they got answer from the concerned ministry.
 
Following the disruption of the House meeting from the UML lawmakers, the meeting was adjourned.
