Kathmandu, Nepal, May 24, 2022: Airline companies have hiked their airfares by up to Rs 445 per travel, citing the government’s decision to hike in fuel price. According to the Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), the decision will come into effective from Wednesday.

The airline companies are compelled to increase their flight charges to compensate for the increased price of fuel, the AOAN has stated. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state owned petroleum product monopoly, had hiked the aviation fuel by Rs 10 per liter.
