Kathmandu, Nepal, April 4, 2022: The tourism business has gradually been bouncing back to normal after the world including the Nepal has felt relief from the global pandemic of coronavirus infections that had badly gripped the world since two and half years.
According to the Data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), a total of 42,006 foreign tourists have entered in Nepal by air in March 2022. The foreign tourist arrivals in March this year are the highest in number since the start of the pandemic.
The arrival of foreign tourists in Nepal in last month has increased by 180.5 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year. A total of 14,977 foreign tourists had visited Nepal in March 2021.
The arrival of foreign tourists has gradually been increasing in Nepal since the beginning of the New Year 2022. In January this year, as many as 16, 975 foreign tourists had entered in Nepal while the number of foreign tourists arrival in February was 19, 766.
As this is the mountaineering season, the number of foreign tourists would increase even in April, the concerned business persons have said.
