 KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Women National Cricket team today left for Thailand to participate in the Asia Cup Cricket Championship.

 
National Sports Council member secretary Keshav Kumar Bista bid farewell to the team.
 
Rubina Chhetry, who would be joining the Melbourne Renegades in Women’s Big Bash League in Australia for 2016-17 season, will lead Nepal in the tournament.
 
Nepal is pitted against test playing nations including Pakistan in their opening game on Saturday. They will play against Sri Lanka in their second group game on November 28.
 
Similarly, Nepal will play against Bangladesh on November 29, the hosts on December 1 and India on December 2.
 
Earlier, Nepal had earned the berth in the Asia Cup by finishing second in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier Asia Region held in Hong Kong.
 
The championship is organised by the Asian Cricket Council and will begin from November 26.RSS
