Kathmandu, Nepal, June 27, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has declined by 1.22 percent from yesterday’s closing on Monday. The NEPSE index closed at 1,933.13 points after losing 23.85 points due to the huge selling pressure.
The NEPSE index had gained 94.92 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The index opened at 1967.30 points made intraday high at 1,987.59 points and closed at 1,933.13 points, the intraday lowest points.
A total of 5,641,540 shares were exchanged amounting to Rs. 2.044 Arba in the turnover amount via 229 scrips traded hands and 43,122 transactions. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover amount of Rs. 2.196 Arba.
Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) had the highest turnover of Rs. 15.65 crores. Per share price of the CIT has reached at Rs. 2,542 as the share of CIT has been continuously increasing after it declared handsome bonus share to its shareholders.
The shares of Hydorelectricity Investment and Development Company Ltd (HIDCL) traded the most while the CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CYCL) gained the highest by 9.99 percent with positive circuit breaker.
On the other hand, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) lost by 10 percent. Out of the total 13 indices, only two sector indices closed green. The Life Insurance sector gained the highest by 1.22 percent while Development Bank sector lost the highest by 3.51 percent.
