Kathmandu, Nepal, November 7, 2022: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has slightly declined by 0.33 percent on the second trading day of the week on Monday.

With the decline of 6.43 points, the NEPSE index has closed at 1,958.94 points. Following the gaining trend of recent days, the NEPSE index had gained 43.20 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. 

The NEPSE index opened at 1,924.2 points made intraday high of 1,987.32 points and intraday low of 1,955.28 points before ultimately closing at 1,958.94 points.

A total of 4,944,076 shares were exchanged amounting to only Rs. 2.109 Arba in the turnover amount via 224 scrips traded hands and 35,112 transactions. 
 
The turnover amount is about 25 percent higher than the previous day’s trading amount. Sunday’s turnover amount was Rs. 1.548 Arba.

Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) made the highest turnover of Rs. 15.16 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 3,645 per share while the shares of Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) traded the most.

Likewise, Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (DLBS) gained the highest by 8.13 percent while the Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (GILB) lost highest by 5.70 percent.

Out of the total 13 sector indices, five sector indices closed green while remaining all 8 sector indices closed red. "Mutual Fund" sector indices gained the highest by 1.06 percent while the "Manu.& Pro." Sector indices lost the highest by 1.21 percent.
