Kathmandu, Nepal, January 25, 2022: The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has finally approved the Initial Public Offering (IPO) proposal of six different companies- Balephi Hydropower Ltd, Green Ventures Ltd., NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd., Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. And Emerging Nepal Limited.
Though these companies had proposed months before to issue the IPO, it was delayed to get approval from the SEBON. The SEBON’s chairman Bhisma Raj Dhungana was sacked by the government on the charge misappropriation.
As the government has failed to appoint the new chairman, a board meeting of the SEBON had decided to issue IPOs of the company, which had already proposed by fulfilling all the criteria. With the issuance of IPOs from these companies, capital will raise by Rs. 1,266,229,000. With the approval from the SEBON, the companies have to fix the date for the IPO opening.
