Chitwan, Nepal, November 17, 2023: smugglers have killed two rhinos in Chitwan National Park (CNP).
The rhinos were killed by making a ditch in about three and a half kilometers south-east from Satarchuli post in the eastern sector of the park, Ganesh Tiwari, information officer at the CNP said.
According to Tiwari a 6-year-old and another 18-year-old female rhinoceros were found dead in the ditch without their horns. It is said that professional smugglers would have involved in the poaching of the rhinoceros.
