Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepalese stock traders have withdrawn their strike launched against of the decision to impose the capital gains tax threshold on the sale of bonus and rights shares.

The stock traders had been halting all the transactions on the floor of the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) in protest against the government decision. With the protest, the NEPSE did not record any trading on Tuesday.
A meeting held between the representatives of the stock market trader and the government representative agreed to end the halt the strike after government side agreed to withdraw the controversial directives issued on Monday.
Earlier today, the traders had continued their protest program even on Wednesday in front of the Stock office at Jawalakhel.
Following the decision to halt the strike, stock market trading was resumed.
