Kathmandu, Nepal, October 30, 2023: United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed his concerns over the climate change impacts in mountain region of Nepal.
During discussions with the communities of the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-4 and Annapurna base camp area, he highlited the need to increase global awareness about the impact that Nepal faced due to the climate change.
During the discussion, Secretary-General Guterres also vowed to highlight climate change impacts in mountainous regions with input from local communities in the upcoming COP-28 summit.
