Kathmandu, Nepal: Controversial real estate entrepreneur Sudhir Basnet has been arrested from Kathmandu. According to the Police, he was arrested from Dhapashi of Kathmandu on Tuesday evening.
A police team mobilized from the Maharajganj Police Circle had arrested Basnet at 11pm on Tuesday.
He had been absconding after being accused of many fraud cases. Police had kept him in a most wanted list.
Basnet has been accused of defrauding about Rs 8.6 billion from various banks, co-operatives and individuals.
