The ill-fated passenger bus with registration number Lu 2 Kha 975 that was heading towards Rampur from Tansen, the district headquarters of Palpa, skidded off the road and fell about 150 metres below the road.
According to the police the deceased have been identified as Loknath Dhakal, Basanti Khand of ward number 2 of the rural municipality, Devendra Lal Pradhan, Krishnaman Bajracharya, Chhatraman Shakya and Sushil Prasad Shakya of ward number 3, Bishnuman Bajracharya and Krishna Bahadur Bohara of ward 4, Durga Bahadur Saru, Geeta Budhathoki of ward 6 and Sachin Bajracharya and Kamala Karki of Tansen municipality.
It is said that the bus was carrying a total of 27 persons. It is said that almost all the passengers were the employees and members of Laxmi Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd of Tansen.
