Dhading, Nepal: At least 18 persons killed and scores injured when a passenger bus met with a fatal accident at Marpak-5 of Dhading district in central Nepal on Tuesday.
The ill-fated bus with registration number Ba 3 Kha 3318, which was heading towards Kintangphedi from Dhadingbesi-2, met with the accident at around 11:30 am.
Though the exact cause behind the accident is yet to come, it is said that overload in the old bus would be a reason behind the fatal accident.
The eyewitnesses have a saying that the passengers were also travelling even on its roof. The bus had plunged about 300 meters down the road.
It is said that most of the passengers on board were those who had come to district headquarter to collect funds distributed by the government.
Seriously injured people have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.
