Nepalgunj, Nepal : Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi has underlined the need of deployment of  the Nepal Army (NA)  during the local level elections scheduled for May 14.

 
NA personnel should be deployed to protect polling centres during the local level elections, DPM Nidhi said on Monday while addressing Mid-Western regional security conference in Nepalgunj.
 
DPM Nidhi, who is also a leader of the Nepali Congress said so in the mean time when suspicion are rifled that the scheduled elections would not be held on time and it would be postponed.
 
Considering to the situations the government has initiated necessary process and constitutional process needed to deploy Nepal Army personnel for the elections has also already been started,DPM Nidhi said.
 
During the function he also directed the heads of security agencies of Mid-Western region to make effective security arrangements for the elections.
 
Hinting to the agitating United Democratic Mashes Front, DPM Nidhi said some forces are hatching conspiracies to foil the elections, but the government is all prepared to hold the elections on time, he said.
