Kathmandu, Nepal: The Election commission (EC) has made clear that it will hold second phase of local level elections only in the 461 local units of four federal states 
 
Issuing a press release on Thursday, the EC has made so clear that it will not hold elections in the 22 more local units that the government had added on Monday.  The EC would not be able to hold the local level elections in those places on the stipulated date, states the press release.
 
Likewise, the EC has also urged the government to create the environment to hold the election in only 461 local-level. The EC has mentioned that there will be technically difficult to hold the elections in the added local bodies.
 
As per the government’s decision on Monday three local units each in Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Sarlahi and Kapilvastu districts, two local units each in Sunsari and Rautahat districts and one new local unit each in Saptari, Parsa, Bara, Dhanusha, Kailali and Banke districts are increased.
