Kathmandu, Nepal: The Election Commission (EC) has on Monday formed a three-member committee to investigate into the incident related to tearing of ballot papers in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
 
A meeting of the EC formed the team under the coordination of Joint-Attorney Gita Prasad Timilsina.  
 
In the team Joint-Secretary of the Home Ministry and Deputy Inspector General at the Police Headquarters are also incorporated. The team is mandated to submit its report within May 31. 
 
It was alleged that CPN Maoist Centre cadres had tear during the course of counting votes of ward no 19 of the metropolitan city.
 
The EC has made the decision after Chief Returning Officer (CRO) had sent a report regarding the decision to suspend the vote counting.
