Kathmandu, Nepal, December 16, 2021: Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishow Prakash Sharma have been elected as the General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC) under the ongoing 14th general convention of the party on Thursday.
Thapa was the running mate of presidential candidate Shekhar Koirala while Sharma was the running mate of another presidential candidate Prakash Man Singh.
Reelected president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s running mate Dr. Prakash Sharna Mahat and Pradip Poudel face defeat. Similarly, Dr. Mininder Rijal, running mate of the Korala and another contender of the general secretary post Rajaram Karki face defeat.
