Kathmandu, Nepal, October 10, 2020: The government has urged senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC to withdraw his ongoing 19th hunger strike without any precondition.
The government’s talk team has made the urge at the time when the talks held on Friday between the talk team of the government and Dr Govinda KC failed to reach on consensus on key contentious issues including the appointment process in the IMO.
In the press statement it is claimed that almost all the demands presented by Dr KC are in the process implementation. ‘The government is committed to expand medical education and provide accessible health services across the country,’ reads the press statement.
