Kathmandu, Nepal: Neighboring India has on Wednesday named its senor diplomatic official Manjeev Singh Puri as its new ambassador to Nepal. 
 
Southern neighbor Indian named its new Ambassador to Nepal as recent Ambassador Ranjit Rae is returning to Delhi on Wednesday completing his tenure.
 
According to a sources at the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has on Wednesday wrote a letter to Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) seeking agreemo to appoint Puri as its new ambassador to Nepal.
 
Currently Indian ambassador to Belgium, Puri had joined Indian Foreign Service in 1982. He is regarded as the senior diplomatic official as has served in different countries as the Ambassador. He had also served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations.
