Kathmandu, Nepal, October 14, 2023: the government has airlifted a total of 254 Nepali nationals stranded in Israel due to the recent conflict.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), a total of 254 Nepali nationals out of the 503 Nepalese, who had sought to return to Nepal from Israel, have been rescued by Friday.
The Government of Nepal has been rescuing the stranded citizens by sending planes of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). Forewing Minister NP Saud had also reached in Israel to rescue the stranded Nepalese nationals.
Hamas, a terrorist group in Palestine, had initiated attack on October 7 coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War.
Tragically, 10 Nepali nationals have lost their lives during the unrest.
