Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepali Congress (NC) president Sher Bahadur Deuba has registered his candidacy for the 40th Prime Minister of Nepal at the Legislature Secretariat at 11 am on Saturday.
 
Outgoing Prime Minister and CPN Maoist Center chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba as the candidate for the post of Prime Minister. 
 
Similarly, NC senior NC leader Ram Chandra Paudel and Nepal Democratic Party chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar supported Deuba’s candidacy for Prime Minister.
 
The legislative parliament has already scheduled the date for electing the Prime minister on Sunday. NC president Deuba will be elected as the 4oth prime minister of the country on Sunday as Nepali Congress and the CPN Maoist Center has the clear majority in the parliament to form or dissolve the government.
